The mother and son who were hit by a falling tree whilst visiting a Welsh zoo may decide to make compensation claims after the boy was transferred to a specialist children’s unit.

Police and council officials are currently investigating the incident, which happened earlier this week at Manor House Wildlife Park in Wales, which is owned by TV designer Anna Ryder Richardson and her husband.

Witnesses reported hearing an “enormous crack” before seeing people running away from the area.

Once emergency services had removed the tree, the boy was found to have a serious head injury, whilst the mother had injuries to her head, leg, pelvis and arm.

Despite their levels of personal injury, both are said to be in a stable condition.
