Attempt by passenger to seize control leads to accident

Passengers on a coach travelling between Oxford and London had a lucky escape this weekend after a man tried to take control of the coach from the driver by grabbing the wheel.  The Oxford Tube coach ended up on its side on an embankment at the edge of the motorway after the crash, which happened at about 2am on Monday morning.  A 21-year old man was arrested near the scene of the crash in connection with the incident.  Fortunately none of the other 11 passengers onboard the bus at the time of the crash received serious injuries, although one person was taken to hospital as a precaution for a possible spinal injury and the bus driver himself received a shoulder injury.

Bus accident compensation claims with Camps Solicitors

Whilst the cause of this Oxfordshire bus accident is very rare, bus accidents themselves are not.  Buses, like other vehicles on the roads, are liable to be involved in accidents regardless of whether the blame lies with the driver of the bus or with another motorist.  A road accident involving a bus or coach could lead to a major incident, given that there could be upwards of 80 people on a bus or coach, compared with only 5 or 6 in a family car or taxi.

It is possible to make a claim after being injured in an accident where you were a bus passenger or even the driver of the bus (provided the blame for the accident lies with another motorist).  An independent accident solicitor could help you to make this claim at no cost to you.  Depending on who was to blame for the accident, your claim might be made against the driver of the bus, the company that owned the bus or another driver whose vehicle collided with the bus.  Whoever was responsible for causing the accident that led to your injuries, Camps can help you to make a No-Win No-Fee claim.
