I slipped on a wet dancefloor and cut open my hand. I had to go to hospital to have a large piece of glass removed out the palm of my hand. The staff in the bar wrapped it up poorly. My sister and friends was with me and could witness the wet floor and my slip.

Thank you for your query, following your fall in the night club. It is very difficult from the information you have provided to advise if you have a claim, however just because your fall was in a night club does not mean your claim will not be successful. Please contact us on 0800 092 8586 where we will be happy to discuss this matter with you further.

I sustained an injury at work. I was asked to lift a package which was extremely heavy. I lifted it, however I felt a twinge in my back. Since lifting the package, I have had extremely bad back pain. I have been off work for three weeks, I am not currently being paid. Can you please advise if I can claim compensation for the back injury? I have never received any lifting training nor have I been trained on health and safety. Also can I claim for the lost wages while I have been unable to work?

I slipped on a spilled drink on the dance floor, smashed to the floor landing on my left shoulder and right knee.

Luckily, I have only damaged the cartilage in my shoulder, but I was close to fracturing my collar bone.

The bouncer just kept screaming GET UP at me, although I was in a lot of pain. Didn't take me to first aid or anything!

Using a ball while lifting 80 kg is stupid, you should use a bench for that. The gym has to take care of clients but you as a client have to use your logic. Poor guy but really pay attention to what you are doing, balls are not solid as a rock. I only use those balls for stretching.

Hello Lauren,

I’m sorry to hear about the accident you have had in the nightclub, your broken ankle and the treatment you received from the venue's staff. I’ve passed the details of your case onto our enquiries team and one of our claims advisors will be in touch with you shortly to discuss the details of your accident and whether you might have the grounds to make a claim against the club.
